Cotswold Canicross Runs

Bibury Ranger Run – 12.5 miles

Mostly hard packed tracks which can get muddy and a good few road sections but on quiet roads, a few undulating hills, not many water points on the route so own water is a must.

Parking:

In a large layby on the ‘Salt Way’ between the villages of Coln St Aldwyn and Bibury

South Cerney Waterparks Rambler Run – 7.5 miles

Mostly hard packed trail which can get muddy and flooded! A few road crossings and one section on a footpath beside quiet roads and all flat. There are many natural water points.

Parking:

In the car park next to the turning for the Combat Splat Paintballing site, nearest postcode is GL7 5TL

Ashton Waterparks Ranger Run – 12 miles

Mostly hard packed trails which can get muddy, some fields and some quiet roads, all flat. Some natural water points on the route too

Parking:

In the yard at Plummers Farm or in the Greyhound pub car park, postcode is GL7 6HR

Cleeve Common Rambler Run – 5.5 miles

Mostly grass and dirt trails, a short section on a farm road, some hills and only one natural water point.

Parking:

In the car park opposite the golf club car park, the postcode for which is GL52 3PW

Duntisbourne Grove Rambler Run – 5 miles

Mostly grass and dirt trails, some short sections on quiet roads, one main natural

water point and a couple of hills

Parking:

Along the Welsh Way, nearest postcode is GL7 7JE

Bagendon Down Rambler Run – 5 miles

Mostly grass and dirt trails, some short sections on quiet roads, one main natural water point and a couple of hills.

Bagendon Down – Duntisbourne Grove Combo Rambler Run – 7 miles

A combination of the two runs above. Mostly grass and dirt trails, some short sections on quiet roads, one main natural water point and a couple of hills.

Along the Welsh Way, nearest postcode is GL7 7JE

Hailey Wood Rambler Run – 5 miles

Mostly grass and dirt trails through woodland, no natural water points so unless there has been rain for puddles water is a must. Some hills.

Parking:

In the Tunnel House car park, postcode is GL7 6PW

Hazleton Rookie Run – 4 miles

Mostly grass and dirt trails, some short sections on farm roads, a couple of hills and there is a trough or two but may need to bring own water

Parking:

In the village near the church, postcode is GL54 4DZ

Plummers Farm Meadows Rookie Run – 2.5 miles

Mostly grass tracks through fields with a section on an old railway line, all flat and natural water halfway around.

Parking:

In the yard at Plummers Farm or in the Greyhound pub car park, postcode is GL7 6HR

Siddington to South Cerney Loop Rookie Run – 4.5 miles

Mostly tracks and footpaths, fields with a section on an old railway line, and a section on a quiet village road footpath all flat and natural water at different points.

Chedworth Woods Rookie Run – 3.75 miles

Mostly dirt trails through woodland and fields, up and down the side of a hill. A mile long section on private road at the beginning or end depending on which way round it’s run, which runs alongside the only natural water on the route. Must bring own water if warm.
